Live, work, attend school or regularly conduct business in Houghton County or in Baraga Township of Baraga County. Although MTEFCU was established in 1952 at the Michigan Technological University, you do not have to be affiliated Michigan Tech University to become a member.
How to Join?
A $25.00 deposit is all that is required to open an MTEFCU savings account. The $25.00 is your “share” of the credit union and establishes you as a member and owner. You will also need a photocopy of a valid I.D. for each signer on the account, such as a driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate, passport, or military I.D.
Members of MTEFCU benefit from low interest rates on loans, the best credit card rates, low cost checking, free Online Banking/Online Bill Pay, Mobile Banking, and much more. Members are also encouraged to attend our Annual Meeting to vote for open seats on the volunteer Board of Directors. Questions and comments are encouraged at the meeting and anytime.
